Speaker: Diana Stimmel
Diana was born Texas. It was on a Young Life ski trip that she made a public confession of her commitment to Christ. She met Jack Stimmel while they were students at Asbury Theological Seminary in Kentucky. They married in 1978, served as assistant pastor couple, then planted a church in Jack’s hometown prior to departing for South Korea as international workers with the Christian and Missionary Alliance in 1982 for one term. They returned to the US to serve a two-year term as International Workers-in-Residence, professors, and later VP/Student Development (Jack) at Crown College in Minnesota. In the summer of 1992, the Stimmels accepted a call to serve again as lead pastoral couple in Wisconsin until May of 2010 when they left to begin a new adventure in North and Central Asia pastoring the International Church in the capital and serving as Team Leaders. They concluded their overseas ministry in 2013 and currently pastor in Wisconsin. Jack and Diana have two grown sons: Joshua (wife Leslie and their son Owen Jack) and Jonathan (wife Julie and their daughters Brynn Lee and Elly).
Speaker: Jen Vogel
Jen was born in Minnesota to a Christian family and always believed the gospel. Shortly before her ninth birthday, she declared her lifelong commitment to a personal relationship with Jesus and was baptized. At age 12, Jen began attending Dover Avenue Alliance Church with her family in Orange City, Iowa. She attended Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota, and Iowa State University, earning a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. In 1986, Jen married her best friend and high-school sweetheart, Doug Vogel. They raised two boys, Adam and David, and have served in ministry together as lay volunteers. Currently, Jen and Doug are involved in the mid-week children’s ministry at Dover Church in Orange City, Iowa. Jen has served in a variety of leadership positions with Stonecroft Ministries, Alliance Women Ministries, and Moms in Prayer International. Presently, she is the national director of Great Commission Women, an auxiliary ministry of The Christian and Missionary Alliance. In her free time, Jen enjoys reading, travel, and competitive racquetball.
